Barge — rotation & transshipment

One barge runs a fixed order of terminal calls, loading and unloading while the planner keeps stowage feasible. When a leg is tight, a container is dropped early and a second barge — or a truck — finishes the last leg.

One barge sails through four terminals in order, loading and unloading at each, while the planner keeps on-board stowage feasible.

The rotation

Rotterdam → Nijmegen → Duisburg → Cologne

At each call the barge loads and unloads a fixed set of containers. The on-board count rises to 3 at Rotterdam, peaks at 5 at Nijmegen, drops to 2 at Duisburg, then empties at Cologne.

Transshipment

A second barge — or a truck — finishes the last leg

When a leg is tight, a container is dropped early at an intermediate call (Duisburg) before its final terminal. A later barge on a crossing route picks it up and carries it to the off-rotation inland customer — or a truck completes the last leg by road when the barge would miss the deadline. The Stowage Planner maps every box to a bay × tier × slot for vessel stability. Rehandle flag: boolRehandled = 1.
